Stephen Webster celebrates 25 years of Crystal Haze, with a curated exhibition at the No Regrets Lounge in Mount Street, Mayfair, opening from Monday 19th October.
“In 1995, after two years of development, we released Crystal Haze, a gem mystery, set into chunky gold settings. The cocktail ring became a Stephen Webster icon. A ring for women that was bought by women. The term coined as “women’s self-purchase”, believe it or not, was radical within the jewellery industry at the time. 25 years on we have celebrated that moment with a contemporary collection ‘CH2’, which captures the spirit of the original. We now invite you to discover the journey of Crystal Haze at our Mount Street salon”.

Crystal Haze is an instantly recognisable concept created by Stephen Webster, whereby two stones are layered and bonded together. The top layer is a faceted natural clear Quartz, and under-layer is a slice of an opaque coloured gemstone. The fusion of the two allows light to enter the Quartz at numerous different facets, creating holographic-like ‘haze’ of colour that moves as the jewellery is turned
When Stephen Webster first launched Crystal Haze in the mid-90s, the jewellery world was rocked by the idea of Crystal Haze being considered fine jewellery. Everything changed when Madonna purchased the original Classic Crystal Haze ring that became the must-have accessory and symbolic status of the independent women. Through years of continuous experimentation, Crystal Haze has remained one of the brands most iconic concepts and can be seen throughout Stephen Webster’s collections today.
Never ones to shy away from a celebration, we invite our guests to toast the occasion with a Hazy Daze cocktail at our new ‘No Regrets’ Bar located at the salon. For more information, and to book an appointment to view the exhibition please contact our Mount Street Salon.
